Celebrating a New Milestone: "The Sweetness of You" Featured on Saatchi Art

I am so happy to share some exciting news from the studio this week. One of my artwork, “The Sweetness of You,” has been featured by the curators at Saatchi Art in their “New For This Week” collection.

As an Indonesian painter, seeing my work recognized on a global platform like Saatchi Art is a moment I hold very dear. It is a beautiful reminder that the stories I tell through my brush can resonate with people far beyond my own borders.

The Story Behind the Piece

“The Sweetness of You” is a reflection of my ongoing exploration of abstract watercolor. Like much of my work, this piece was born from a place of intuition and a desire to capture a specific feeling, one of tenderness and grace.

In my practice, I always return to the idea of healing through art. When I was creating this piece, I focused on soft movements and delicate layers of color. I wanted the water to dictate the rhythm, allowing the pigments to settle into a composition that feels both light and grounding. To me, this process is a form of meditation, and I hope that same sense of peace reaches whoever views the work.

Being an Indonesian artist in the contemporary art world is an incredible journey. It allows me to share our unique perspective on emotional well-being and visual storytelling with a worldwide audience.
