BIG IMPACT - Fordive 6th Anniversary
EXHIBITION OVERVIEW
We become less divided when we learn to see ourselves, each other, and the Earth with greater awareness and care.
From Within, Beyond is a mixed-media exhibition that explores how transformation begins from the most intimate place within ourselves and gradually expands into our relationships, communities, and the natural world.
Created in celebration of Fordive's sixth anniversary, the exhibition reflects the brand's ongoing commitment to creating meaningful social and environmental impact. Rather than illustrating fragrance directly, the exhibition interprets three selected perfumes as emotional and symbolic landscapes that invite visitors to reflect on healing, connection, and our shared responsibility towards one another and the planet.
Working primarily with discarded textiles, paint, embroidery, and layered mixed media, the exhibition transforms forgotten materials into new forms of beauty. The reuse of waste textiles becomes both a material choice and a metaphor: just as discarded fabrics can be reconstructed into something meaningful, difficult experiences, relationships, and environments can also be renewed through care, intention, and collective action.
The exhibition unfolds as a journey through three interconnected chapters:
Within Us
Between Us
Around Us
Together, these works invite visitors to recognise that every lasting change begins with a single transformation.
I started this project by beginning with a simple question:
How do we become who we are through the things we experience, carry, repair, and leave behind?
From Within, Beyond:
Through three works exploring Within Us, Between Us, and Around Us, I looked at healing as something that is never entirely individual. From “What The Water Reveals”, “In Each Other Hands”, and “Part Of The Tide”.
Sometimes, it happens quietly within ourselves.
Sometimes, through the relationships we build and break.
And sometimes, through the way we understand our place within the natural world.
I worked with textiles, paint, and discarded materials — things that have been touched, worn, damaged, and transformed — because I’m interested in how something imperfect can still hold beauty, memory, and possibility.
The works are not meant to simply be looked at.
They are meant to be felt, questioned, touched, and, in one of the pieces, even changed by others.
A reflection on connection, healing, beauty, and the spaces that exist within us, between us, and around us.
